The theme of my picture essay is military travel. I put two of my fondest places on the essay. I am in none of the photos but I was there. Seeing these pics brought back some many memories. I hope that you will be able to see some of the beauty and tragedy that I saw in Sarajevo Bosnia and Incirlik Turkey.
We (US Air Force) were in Turkey under Operation Northern Watch. We patrolled the northern border of Iraq and its no fly zone. In Bosnia we were there simply to keep the peace. Oh *wow* - this was a wonderful fantastic photo essay - the water photo was beautiful, as was Sarajevo valley, but then juxtaposed with dilapidated buildings and the bullet-ridden concrete/tombstones - WOW.
